PORQUE

Se usa “porque” para introducir una explicación o causa en una oración. Es la respuesta a la pregunta “¿Por qué?” (‘porque’ is used to introduce an explanation or cause in a sentence. It’s the answer to the question “Why?”)

Examples:

1. Me gusta el helado porque es dulce. (I like ice cream because it is sweet.)
2. No salí a correr porque estaba lloviendo. (I didn’t go for a run because it was raining.)
3. Ella estudia mucho porque quiere sacar buenas notas. (She studies hard because she wants to get good grades.)
4. Cenamos temprano porque mañana tenemos una reunión. (We had dinner early because we have a meeting tomorrow.)
5. Decidí quedarme en casa porque no me sentía bien. (I decided to stay home because I wasn’t feeling well.)
6. Compro frutas porque son saludables. (I buy fruits because they are healthy.)
7. Le di un libro porque le gusta leer. (I gave him a book because he likes to read.)
8. No quiero ir al cine porque tengo mucho trabajo. (I don’t want to go to the movies because I have a lot of work.)
9. Voy a la playa porque hace buen tiempo. (I’m going to the beach because the weather is nice.)
10. Ella no vino a la fiesta porque estaba cansada. (She didn’t come to the party because she was tired.)
11. Hicimos un viaje porque queríamos explorar nuevas culturas. (We took a trip because we wanted to explore new cultures.)
12. No compré el coche porque era muy caro. (I didn’t buy the car because it was too expensive.)
13. Me gusta este libro porque es muy interesante. (I like this book because it is very interesting.)
14. La comida estaba deliciosa porque la preparó mi abuela. (The food was delicious because my grandmother made it.)
15. Ella se siente feliz porque ha conseguido un nuevo trabajo. (She feels happy because she has gotten a new job.)
16. Vamos a salir a caminar porque necesitamos ejercicio. (We are going for a walk because we need exercise.)
17. Decidí estudiar español porque quiero viajar a España. (I decided to study Spanish because I want to travel to Spain.)
18. No comprendo la película porque está en otro idioma. (I don’t understand the movie because it’s in another language.)
19. El niño llora porque tiene hambre. (The child is crying because he is hungry.)
20. Me desperté temprano porque tengo una cita. (I woke up early because I have an appointment.)
21. Fui al médico porque no me sentía bien. (I went to the doctor because I wasn’t feeling well.)
22. Llevo paraguas porque puede llover más tarde. (I’m taking an umbrella because it might rain later.)
